Lanzarote
Lanzarote is a superb holiday destination and very popular with British Holiday makers. A volcanic island, Lanzarote provides sun, sea, sand and indeed all the ingredients needed to provide a fabulous holiday break.
Despite its volcanic nature, many of the beaches in Lanzarote feature soft, golden sand and are ideal for those looking to soak up Lanzarote’s glorious sunshine. There are currently 5 Blue Flag beaches on the island.
Some of the more popular resorts in Lanzarote include Costa Teguise, Playa Blanca, Playa de los Pocillos, Puerto Calero and of course Puerto del Carmen.
Puerto Del Carmen Holidays
Puerto del Carmen is a mature, fun filled holiday resort offering everything you could possibly want for that relaxing summer holiday. Families are well catered for here with many of the hotels offering kids clubs and children’s entertainment.
As with all popular holiday destinations, cheap late deals are often available providing great value for those on a tight budget.
Costa Teguise Holidays
With superb beaches, excellent water sports facilities and a superb 18 hole golf course, Costa Teguise is a fabulous holiday resort. Arricife airport is just 20 minutes drive away so you’ll find yourself on those fabulous beaches sooner than you’d think. The resort is also well known for its water sports facilities which include windsurfing, jet skiing and scuba diving.
Playa Blanca Holidays
Whilst there is always plenty to do, the pace of life at Playa Blanca is calm and relaxed making it an ideal resort for families. The resort make a good base point for those wishing to explore further afield offering a ferry link to the ever popular Fuerteventura. Picturesque and charming, Playa Blanca is the perfect holiday destination for those looking to relax and take things easy.
Playa de los Pocillos
Playa de los Pocillos is a purpose built holiday resort on the South East coast of Lanzarote. The resort is only around 10 to 15 minutes from Arrecife airport (by taxi) and so is very convenient particularly for those with younger children. Not as frenetic as nearby Puerto del Carmen, the resort features long sandy beaches and some great restaurants and bars.
Puerto Calero
Puerto Calero has an “upmarket” feel about it which is probably enhanced by its luxury marina. As with any prestigious resort there are facilities to match with a good supply of activities such as tennis, squash and golf on tap.
Whilst the resort itself doesn’t have its own beach, Puerto Calero offers a refined base point to explore nearby Puerto del Carmen and Playa de los Pocillos.
